Raised in Houston, Kasteena graduated with a double major in human resources management and marketing. She was a human resources executive for Citigroup and American International Group prior to real estate. She also worked at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in the Mickey Leland Federal Building. Kasteena and her family have resided in West University Place since 1999. She is involved with the Children's Assessment Center and Giveback Homes.
